Description
Brooklyn Solar Canopy Company’s patent-pending and UL Listed Solar Canopy not only delivers a practical solution to both space and fire and building code constraints all common to flat roof urban properties, but the structure's minimal design relays both elegance and strength. The new space created by the canopy inspires and encourages canopy owners to utilize their roof as a new amenity. This simple affordance is beginning to give rise to creative uses by the company’s customers, ranging from rooftop gardens to private relaxation spaces. No longer just for city rooftops, the canopy's versatility makes it an excellent shaded carport or dining space as well. The Solar Canopy was born out of the idea of the company’s original Tilt Rack System, a solar panel positioned slightly off of the roof’s surface. Now, the sleek solar panels sit atop a steel frame raised 9-feet above a given roof, and at least 15-feet wide depending on the size of the rooftop, to eliminate the panels from view. Instead of detracting from a home’s overall appeal, typical to standard solar rooftop panels, the design has identified an underserved demographic of homeowners in urban cities, looking for a modern, design-forward technological solution. The canopy’s adaptability makes it an innovative solution for multiple housing typologies. Engineered to withstand the elements, the Solar Canopy is designed in Brooklyn and manufactured in Rhode Island. Created with endless solutions in mind, the Solar Canopy is customizable for lighting, waterproofing, decking and more. Links: – http://brooklynsolarcanopy.com/#ourstory Credits: – SITU Studio
