CONA

CONA is a decorative pendant luminaire that impresses with its form! Available in two sizes, it will successfully add glamour to both private and public spaces. Great for ambient table lighting or relaxing general lighting. By shaping and colouring, we altered the flat sheet metal to harmonise with the large, decorative light sources. We were looking for a design that allows us to move away from the minimalism that has prevailed in recent years without falling into exaggeration. We covered the successful shape with natural, warm colours. With its modern and unconventional form, CONA perfectly fulfils this task, being a stylish decoration of modern arrangements. The starting point was the light source – we wanted to create a fixture for the large, round G95 – G120 lamps. We also had to consider additional assumptions: we wanted to create an object that is relevant to the interior but does not define it, let alone divide it. Hence the soft, obtuse shapes, warm colours and concealed technical elements of the luminaire. CONA was created for users whose rooms (and lamps) are meant to provide comfort. The luminaire is mainly made of powder-coated steel and aluminium. This makes it impervious to the passage of time – it is not subject to wear and tear, in any case on the scale of a human lifetime. It is suitable for the use of replaceable light sources. In making it, we process the steel cold, using the printing method.
