Description

When culture meets the eyes of wonders, there are no limits of colors or patterns. It became evident during a trip to Muizenberg, a beach town in Western Cape Town, South Africa. It is an independent seaside town where the view speaks its own language. The beaches of Muizenberg are famous for their surfers and the colorful beach huts along the coast. The huts are so picture-famous that they are often on travel magazines and postcards in Cape Town. But only seeing these huts was not enough to complete our experience in South Africa. The experience was not complete until we allowed our creative minds to explore the details of the huts. The idea sprouted to create a linear carpet pattern reflecting the many angles and lines of the roofs and stairs. Since these huts appear to have last been updated in the eighties, we added a retro vibe to our design. The idea was to express the past and the future. Mixed with a bold and primary color palette, we bring you a commercial corridor carpet that excels in originality and culture. We reduce materials waste by using a roll layout for our carpet patterns, minimizing the amount of material used. The patterns for this product are the expression of South African culture, glorious and calm. We will continue seeking inspiration across cultures and share it through our expressive design that always has a story behind it.
