Decorative Hardwood Flooring

Mirth Studio’s goal is ambitious — to change the way the design community thinks of wood floors. We were the first company in the world to introduce color and pattern onto real hardwood flooring. With this unique invention we were able to create a flooring product that has the look of tile with the warmth and natural properties of wood. The whimsical yet sophisticated designs are inspired by nature, exotic places and the beautiful place we call home, Charleston SC. Our flooring begins with original hand-painted designs by owner and creator, Sally Bennett. These original designs are applied to 12” x 48” engineered white oak hardwood planks using a proprietary printing process. They not only showcase Sally’s hand painted art, but the natural beauty of the wood that they are created from as well. Our flooring is made in the USA using the most sustainable materials and methods with only a very small wear layer of responsibly harvested hardwood. The planks are constructed with an impact resistant, recycled High Density Fiberboard Core making our planks harder and more moisture resistant than other flooring products in the market. Our flooring is finished with a commercial grade matte, scratch resistant aluminum oxide protective coating that does not include VOC’s. With a click and lock installation mechanism, our hardwood can be floated or glued down. We are honored to work with the world's most discerning architects and designers. We offer the design industry a choice when color and pattern are desired but the cold hard surface of ceramic or porcelain is not appropriate. Each Mirth Studio floor is unique and authentic.
