ekoa® is a bio-based wall protection product, crafted from rapidly renewable natural flax and plant resin, and is the perfect sustainable, clean-air gold choice for gorgeous high-performing interiors. It’s low carbon, bleach cleanable, scratch resistant and has a higher strength-to-weight ratio than steel, easily replacing traditionally toxic wall covering products in even the most demanding project applications. ekoa® is designed and manufactured in the US and made with American materials. We are designers and dreamers, pragmatists and idealists, creatives and engineers, working in partnership with market leading architects, interior designers, and facilities teams to make better, healthier built environments. Our current palette highlights the authentic beauty of long luxury flax fibers that allow us to deliver on the promise of large-scale installations with continuous (never repeating and always unique) patterns. ekoa® is made by Lingrove Inc., a Northern California startup. Lingrove started in the workshop of Blackbird Guitars, where our team was working with carbon fiber and wood. We knew there had to be a better way to deliver the sound and performance of these materials while protecting biodiversity, our forests, and human health, and ekoa® was born. Interest from the architecture & design community then prompted us to explore how we could have a much greater impact on people and the environment, and so we brought ekoa® wall protection to the market. ekoa® burst onto the commercial interiors space with a few marquee projects in 2024, and is now perfectly poised to bring more products, and projects to life, sustainably, in 2025 and beyond.
