Siplast® WALLcontrol™ Air & Water-Resistive (AWB) Barrier Systems provide high-performance solutions for vertical walls, creating a continuous air and water barrier for commercial buildings and enabling complex transitions from roofing and waterproofing systems. The WALLcontrol AWB systems include air barrier membranes, flashing, and accessories. They offer the same manufacturing quality and trusted performance that customers have come to know and expect from Siplast while offering maximum compatibility with the firm’s roofing and waterproofing systems. This offers one manufacturer for roofing, waterproofing, and air barrier systems, increasing efficiencies for both designers and installers. WALLcontrol AWB systems uniquely serve as both air barrier and water-resistive barrier membranes while offering solutions for complex transitions from roofing and waterproofing systems. WALLcontrol Reinforced Aluminum Butyl Adhered AWB features a high-temperature stable and low-temperature application butyl adhesive with a split siliconized release liner. It is flexible, UV resistant, primerless, and non-vapor permeable. WALLcontrol Modified Silicone VP Liquid AWB, in turn, is a vapor permeable liquid-applied single-component silyl-terminated polyether moisture-cure air and water-resistive barrier for commercial wall systems. The high solids formulation can be applied by spray or roller in a single continuous coat, is suitable for low-temperature conditions, has minimal dry film shrinkage, and is resistant to rain wash-off while curing. Continuity of air and water management from roof systems, vertical walls, and waterproofing terminations is critical for commercial buildings to achieve durable designs, energy-efficient performance, and occupant health and comfort. As part of a holistically designed building enclosure system, WALLcontrol systems can contribute towards optimized energy performance and increased indoor environmental quality. Additionally, these products all contribute towards LEED points for projects. The Stainless Steel Butyl Adhered Flashing contains 60% total recycled content in its stainless steel, emphasizing the use of post-industrial recycled materials.
