In partnership with Listone Giordano, Paola Lenti has turned her signature aesthetic to a brand new flooring material. In a truly inventive process, thermoformed material is covered with a very thin, but resilient, wood veneer, the squares of which are actually stitched together. The resulting comfort and padded sensation is more akin to a fabric than to wood. Inlaid and hand finished in Mano opaca, the wood surface is treated with a transparent, oil based varnish, which still allows the grain and beauty of the natural wood to shine through. In a variety of designs, the squares can be shaped in any form, creating an area rug that is available in a range of colors and patterns.
