It subtly balances opposing qualities – transitioning from complexity to simplicity, texture to smoothness, matte to reflective, hard to soft, lightness to mass, between surfaces, solids and voids. The result is a sturdy yet delicate composition that blurs the lines between furniture, sculpture and architecture, inviting you to sit without hesitation. A natural wool felt pad with silicone backing and reinforcing stitching is tailored to the seat geometry, enhancing comfort while softening and subtly transforming the composition. A flat clip interlocks with the seat perforations, securely fastening the pad at four corners while enabling easy removal. An intricate, impossibly thin seat of punched steel or copper is folded for ergonomic comfort with innate flexibility. Solid oak legs complete this geometry, providing the structural rigidity for the otherwise delicate seat to hold form.
