The iconic Coral light fixture by David Trubridge has now been introduced in an environmentally friendly version tailored for outdoor use, making a significant addition to the exquisite David Trubridge collection. Launched to commemorate the 20th anniversary of Coral, David’s inaugural lighting design and still the company’s most popular design, this release adds a significant touch to the celebrated collection. Inspired by nature and geometric polyhedra, the Coral pendant is a designer piece that can be utilized as a distinctive feature element or arranged in groupings to make a bold statement. The clean and contemporary design emits beautiful shadow patterns. After eight years of meticulous research to find the most sustainable material, David discovered Lamitech in Columbia and sourced their advanced Panelex material to create a sustainable outdoor variant of the Coral pendant. Constructed from 70% renewable resources and complemented by 30% thermosetting resins, the Outdoor Coral pendant combines sustainability with durability. The high-pressure laminate used in its creation guarantees longevity and shields against pests, bacteria, fungi, mosses, and lichens. Outdoor Coral is made in the USA, making it the first and only light in the collection produced outside of New Zealand. Additionally, boasting FSC certification, it aligns with responsible forestry practices, underlining the commitment to sustainability. Equipped with “wet location” UL electrics, this fixture is well-suited for outdoor spaces, including patios, bars, restaurants, and various residential and commercial applications.
