A single tile layered with two textures and two finishes creates multi-shape patterns with depth and movement. Geometric installations that feel both familiar and unfamiliar, that cross time and place, and delight the eye, creating new shapes like squares, parallelograms, and diamonds. This collection is born from humble materials and a simple process. It\u2019s done by hand \u2014 glazing, masking, and glazing again \u2014 creating a variation that\u2019s intentionally imperfect. Edith Heath experimented with glaze formulas and applications, often surprised and delighted with the results. We have the same spirit and interest in glaze today, particularly in layered glazes, and what happens when two (or three, or more) glazes interact with each other in the kiln. Pairing Heath's understanding of glaze with past tile patterns we\u2019ve created, our perspective \u2014 and the possibilities \u2014 have widened. The collection is available in eight glaze blends to offer an array of applications. There\u2019s a balance of light and dark, matte and glossy, high and low contrast, textured and smooth, glazed and unglazed. The glaze blends are as follows: Natural White, Natural Manganese, Bay Blue, Basalt Lava, Ochre, Fog, Zinnia and Seafoam. The complimenting eight patterns were designed with the glaze that accentuates it the best. Each offers a range in pattern scale and can be applied in a variety of settings. The eye dances over patterns that are dynamic and kinetic, yet quiet and artistic. Heath\u2019s suggested patterns are Facet, Deco, Tartan, Braid, Kilim, Ripple, Curtain and Heirloom.
