In the exquisitely renovated Franklin Square lobby, GPI was able to bring Hickok Cole\u2019s vision of \u201cribbons\u2019 of backlit glass to fruition, updating the previously 1980s postmodern aesthetic with sleek, yet complex, features that draw the eye through the space. Not only was the scale of these \u201cribbons\u201d just massive, but they involved large, heavy glass panels, complex lighting environments, and meticulous detailing \u2013 all of which needed to be acutely engineered and tested to ensure the solutions were not only technically correct, but aesthetically appropriate. GPI handled this project as a turnkey package including engineering, supply of all surface\/structure\/lighting materials, and installation services. These backlit glass ceilings flow through the space continuing down the walls to illuminate the space.
