Calacatta

The Calacatta model, part of Neolith?s Classtone collection, is a bright white marble-inspired model of the Neolith sintered compact surface brand, manufactured by Spanish company TheSize. The product, made through a high-temperature, high pressure kilning process, can be used for various applications, thanks in part to the wide variety of different size formats, thicknesses, finishes and veining effects offered. Applications include virtually every indoor and outdoor surface for both residential and commercial projects, such as countertops, flooring, facades, wall surfaces and more. Neolith?s Calacatta design has been widely praised by architects for its stunning aesthetic, applauded for being indistinguishable from natural white marble, and providing a plethora of durability and design benefits. The Calacatta design features bright white background with intricate veining synonymous with white marble from Carrara. It is available in a variety of design specifications, including two finishes (polished and satin) and two veining patterns (end-matched and book-matched). Combined with the inherent high-tech properties of Neolith sintered compact surfaces, Calacatta is superior in design and construction than the natural marble it shares a name with. The durability and creative properties of the sintered compact surface allow architects to design unique spaces where brittle and porous natural marble traditionally poses a challenge, including backsplashes, countertops, flooring, tubs, showers and more. The Calacatta model, and all Neolith slabs, are 100% natural, made of clays, feldspar, silica and natural mineral oxides, and can be recycled and reduced to its aggregates. Up to 52% of any slab is composed of recycled natural materials. Despite being virtually indistinguishable from natural marble, Calacatta?s natural man-made make-up reduces environmental stressors associated with harvesting the natural stone.
