Monograph

Monograph is a firm management software designed to help architects and engineers oversee projects, timesheets, and forecasts in one integrated and simple interface. Created by three architects, the software is rooted in the founders’ experience in building tools for architecture firms, where they noticed a recurring challenge—project managers were discontent with their existing and non-existent management software. Too much of the architect’s toolset was focused on the design and documentation of drawings, instead of supporting connected workflows. There was also a clear disconnect between how projects were managed, budgets were forecast, and time was tracked. Therefore, the co-founders created a solution for architects to manage their firms more effectively and transparently. Monograph is an evolving answer with a mission to empower the professionals who create our buildings and cities. There are three major components to the software: project management, time tracking, and invoicing. The project management feature allows users to view phase-based Gantt charts, assign different rates per project, and create milestones for deliverables. The time tracking component gives users the ability to track time against phases, bill for multiple roles per project, and add notes and expenses. Smart invoicing includes a bill by phase, activity or role feature, a preview and work summary toggle, and lastly, the ability to integrate with Quickbooks online. The software provides an intuitive platform where managers can easily organize themselves and their teams, in order to most efficiently complete tasks, and ultimately deliver projects on time and on budget. Monograph is an intuitive program that allows users to easily view their project’s progress, its current budget with the MoneyGantt, and a forecast of the team’s bandwidth and cash flow so that managers can make informed decisions––making this software the all-encompassing solution to project management in modern-day architecture and design firms.
