Tangens

Today, masses of workers are migrating back to their offices after months spent in their home office environment. Our goal is to create modularly assembled, lightweight office furniture for today’s needs, which can be easily arranged in space due to their lightness but also provide the comfort of a home environment.The Tangens was born from and inspired by the desire of focusing on the value of human relationships in today’s changed circumstances. Tangens: touch and togetherness. The metaphor of embracing also appears on the objects themselves. The curved tubular frame – which wraps around the delicate materials – shows a respect for tradition, recalling the graphic Bauhaus world. The use of sustainable materials shows reverence for the future, a homage to the power of nature.The ease of variability makes Tangens the ideal equipment for an agile workspace. The furniture items can be shaped well to various builds in themselves already, and they fit into each other in a manner allowing the user to create various spatial arrangements in an instant. Being in the office means sitting. That is why we focus on this area exactly. The hard, stretched seating surfaces, the slightly elevated seating level facilitates concentration. The use of sustainable materials, recycling and circularity are all important values for us. Inside the seating surfaces is a durable wave spring load-bearing structure, and they are held by long-lasting sintered steel pipes. We use fabrics made of recycled plastic and woven wool, the fillers also include recycled felt and ground materials. The combinations of textures and colors of our through, well-conceived material palette always result in a harmonious overall picture.Quality, durability and long-term design were key factors during manufacturing, while the ability to be disassembled to parts was important during design for facilitating future repairs.
