Description
Designed for areas where a wide opening is needed but space is limited, XtendSlide™ Telescoping Sliding Door system glides, overlaps and stacks door leaves to achieve the widest possible opening within the smallest perimeter frame. As such, it eliminates swing arc trajectories while offering the widest opening within its framing dimensions. Designers can use this door system to plan flexible spaces in low-traffic areas where wall space is at a premium, like classrooms, exam rooms and multipurpose spaces. It is available in a surface-mounted or inset configuration with two to four door leaves. XtendSlide can be specified as a single- or dual-direction sliding door system. Depending on its operation, it can be parted from the latch side, the center or from the center and both sides of the door assembly. As a result, this telescoping sliding door system can contribute a substantial amount of opening flexibility to a project. XtendSlide features a high-quality, impact resistant aluminum perimeter frame that can hold several door finish options from flush wood to full-lite glass doors and sidelites. It includes ADA-compliant locking and latching hardware. XtendSlide can preserve more useable square footage inside medical centers and other commercial buildings while also contributing to accessibility and long-term building adaptability.
