Description
The next step in Mermet?s Repreve® fiber-based product line, GreenScreen® Evolve? provides specifiers with a shading fabric that offers the beneficial qualities of sustainability, color and solar performance into one fabric style. Made of 100% PVC-free polyester, GreenScreen Evolve contains up to 78% Repreve® fibers. These fibers are made from 100% recycled materials. In comparison to virgin polyester, the manufacturing of Repreve® reduces energy consumption by over 6%, water consumption by nearly 50%, and emissions by over 34%. The fabric is 100% recyclable, a contributing factor in earning Cradle-to-Cradle? ? Silver certification. GreenScreen Evolve can contribute towards LEED certification points and a full disclosed Health Product Declaration (HPD) has been created for those pursuing green building projects. GreenScreen Evolve?s design was based on feedback received from the A&D community asking for sustainability, color and performance in window covering fabrics. Mermet worked with several prominent designers at leading architectural and design firms to develop the fabric?s rich, modern palette of nine beautiful colors. Featuring a clean and crisp view through, similar to that of a basket weave, GreenScreen Evolve is available in four openness factors (1%, 3%, 5% and 10%). The balanced knit construction of GreenScreen Evolve provides a full-bodied fabric for ease of handling and installation. Offered for both manual and automated window shading systems, GreenScreen Evolve fabrics are fire retardant and provide solar control capabilities. Manufactured in the U.S. and available in nine colors, these specialty fabrics work to control glare while serving as a daylighting source with clean outward visibility.
