The LE CORBUSIER Architecture Prize aims to recognise architecture and design firms that are actively working towards a more sustainable built environment, wherever they are based and whatever the challenges or opportunities inherent in each project.

Eligibility takes into consideration local characteristics, while rewarding projects that push boundaries and set a positive precedent for building practices in its specific region and around the world.

Selection

The jury, chaired in 2025 by Ms. Véronique Descharrières, the 2015 Women’s Architect Award winner in France, will consist each year of five to nine “professionals recognized in their respective fields of architecture, urban planning, philosophy, sociology, education, research, and may include members from publishing, culture, design, or photography.” The selection of the winners will be carried out in several stages:

The composition of the jury is key to the success of the competition.Chaired in 2025 by Véronique Descharrières, Prix femme architecte 2015 France, and composed each year of five to nine “professional experts recognized in their respective fields of architecture, business, education, publishing and culture”, it deliberates early in the year before announcing the winner in the spring. The international jury will comprise a minimum of architects, an urban planner, a sociologist, a photographer and the President of the Fondation Le Corbusier in Paris.

All applications will be subject to an initial selection by the committee.

The sorting will then be subject to a defined delegation of the jury

The President of the Jury will have an overview of all the applications to carry out a possible draft.

The Jury will select the official selection consisting of 10 objects.

4 nominees will be chosen.

The total amount of the prize is CHF 50,000 allocated by the jury.
